Historic Railroad Hotel / B&B in Llano Texas
This early 1900's built historic Railroad Hotel was the end of the line for the Austin and Northwestern Rail Line. The front of the Dabbs Hotel was the Texas Frontier - to go further west, it was necessary to switch over to Wells Fargo Stage-Coach for the trip into Indian Territory! The original floor plans, service and menus have been recreated as they were in 1907.
Thought to be the last standing railroad hotel on the "Texas Frontier," the hotel has had guests like Bonnie & Clyde. This is a historical gem, located next to the Railroad Depot at the center of a revitalization project, and is walking distance to historic areas and short drives to Texas Hill Country attractions.
An excursion train from Llano to Kingsland to Austin Texas is in the works and future plans call for a route from Llano to the Austin airport. The area is ready to explode - great tourism opportunities for this Texas frontier historic landmark hotel.
